Files are stored in your private Supabase storage folder and only you can read them. We never sell, share, or train AI models on your documents. You can delete any uploaded policy from the "My policies" tab at any time — it removes the file and the decoded report.

You can try the sample decodes without signing in. To upload your own policy, you'll need to sign in via a magic link (email-only, no password). This keeps your decoded reports tied to you and lets you come back to them later.

Free plan: decode one policy, see the full breakdown. Premium (₹999/year) unlocks unlimited policies, Q&A on any decoded report, PDF downloads of the original + the decoded report, and priority support.

For major Indian insurers (HDFC ERGO, ICICI Lombard, Care Health, Max Life, LIC, etc.) we match known policy templates and extract fields with high confidence. For unusual or older formats, we fall back to a rule-based decoder which covers the common fields but may flag ambiguity. We're transparent about confidence — if anything looks off on the report, tell us via Feedback.

Probably. We're adding insurer-specific matchers continuously. If your decoded report looks generic or misses fields, send us the policy (or just the insurer + plan name) via Feedback and we'll prioritise it.

No. Payments are handled by Razorpay. We never see or store your card number, UPI handle, or bank details — only the payment success signal and transaction ID.

Yes. Email us at hello@decodefile.com from the email linked to your account and we'll send you a full export (original files + decoded reports) within 72 hours.

PDF is the primary format. We also accept photos of policy pages (JPG, PNG, WebP) up to 20 MB. Scanned PDFs work too — we extract text from both text-based and image-based PDFs.
